Chris Brown, Idris Elba, T.I. In 'Bone Deep'

Big yawn!

The name pretty much says it all for me. PASS! Wasn't there a movie released not-so long ago with a similar title? Ah, yes, Waist Deep (2006), with Tyrese Gibson. And let's not forget L.L. Cool J's In Too Deep from 1999.

All these movies have the word "deep" prominently used in their titles, have male hip-hop artists in starring roles, are violent, and all suck - with the exception of the yet to be released Bone Deep, which we can assume probably will suck too, continuing the trend of previously produced violent "deep" films starring hip-hop artists who happen to be male!

Like I said, I'll pass on the deepness of Bone Deep. But I'm willing to be pleasantly surprised...!

From Hollywood Reporter:

Chris Brown could be getting bone deep with Screen Gems.

The "Stomp the Yard" star is in final negotiations to appear alongside Matt Dillon, Idris Elba and rapper T.I. in the thriller "Bone Deep."

The film, directed by John Lussenhop, revolves around a group of criminals who plan a major heist at a money depot, with two detectives hot on their trail. Brown will play one of the members of the heist crew.

LOL @ your wax on "deep." Never realized how many "Deep" films like these. What's with the word? There's also Deep Cover with Laurence Fishburn. I'm sure there're others.
