'Emily', the woman in the below video animation, is not real. She was created using a new modeling technology from a company called Image Metrics that enables the most minute details of facial expression to be recreated. She is considered to be one of the first animations to breakthrough a long-standing barrier known as 'uncanny valley' - which refers to the perception that animation looks less realistic as it approaches human likeness.

Not bad, but the eyes give it away that it's a fake. They always do. They have those creepy, flat, "dead" looking image. The same problem with those "motion capture" animated films like Beowulf last year. No matter how hard they try, they can never get the eyes right.
And the movement of the fake woman is still a little too stiff and natural like
