Trailer - Tyler Perry's 'The Family That Preys'

Well, here it is folks - hot off the presses! The trailer for Tyler Perry's next film, his second this year and 4th in the last 2 years (just call him Mr Prolific) - The Family That Preys. As expected, it's full of the usual "soap operatic" dramatics we've come to expect from all of TP's films.

It's got an impressive cast, including one Oscar winner in Kathy Bates (yes, Misery Kathy Bates - where has she been since then), Oscar nominee Alfre Woodard, Taraji P Henson, Sanaa Lathan, Rockmond Dunbar, Robin Givens and of course, Tyler Perry (with a really bad hair piece, but thankfully, no fat suit nor dress).

CLICK HERE for the full synopsis of the film, as well as some of my previous thoughts. Otherwise, watch the trailer below. The film hits theatres September 12th.

Hmm. I don't know about this one. It doesn't look too much like his previous films. Something feels a little diffferent about it. Could just be that there's white people in it LOL! Serious though, yeah it looks like another soap opera but for some reason I'm not ready to dismiss it yet. I'll probably give it a shot at the theatre.

man, kathy bates must've really needed the money =)... cool to see all those black female faces though... doesn't happen often enough... so they gotta rely on perry for the work... can't blame'em...

i don't think kathy bates took the film because she "needed the money". maybe it's actually a decent storyline. there's no way of knowing that until you see it...

Not sure why any one would want to down the movie before reviewing it. I think the movie will have a great story line, and so what,it has white people in it. Tyler Perry's movies are about reality, reality for blacks in this society, and how they live and grow in the world today, living amongst the other cultures in the world. I say gone ahead wit yo bad self.
