Spiderman Tackles 'Brown VS Board Of Education'

I hope the completed film won't be a case of revisionist history and that proper credit will be given to all those brave men and women responsible for the eventual victory, and not just the efforts of some ambitious, idealistic white knight! Rumor is that Terrence Howard is onboard to play Thurgood Marshall. The NAACP really did matter at one time in our history!

From Variety:

- Tobey Maguire is attached to Universal's "The Crusaders," a drama about the landmark 1954 Brown v. Board of Education case. Maguire would play Jack Greenberg, who, as an idealistic lawyer fresh out of law school, joined with NAACP Legal Defense Fund head and future Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall to win a Supreme Court case that ruled segregation in American schools illegal.

The project is based on Greenberg's memoirs "Crusaders in the Courts."

No production/release dates available yet.

This has been a long gestating project. A couple of years now. Topher Grace was attached to play the role that Tobey now occupies.

So if the project is based on Greenberg's memoir, then the story will center around him(I'm assuming) and his experiences.

Everything I've read about this project always alluded to the fact that it was the Thurgood Marshall story and a starring vehicle for THoward.
