TRAILER - The Taking Of Pelham 1 2 3 (Denzel Washington)

I wrote about this earlier this week. You can read that post HERE.

Here's the recently released trailer for the film which hits theatres on June 12th. I'll be there! Thanks Sergio for the heads-up! Below that is the trailer for the 1973 adaptation of the same novel which the film is based on, starring Walter Matthau.

You can also watch the full 104 minute film below, courtesy of Hulu.com.

I really dug the original 1974 version, especially the soundtrack. This Tony Scott version seems a little generic, but it may surprise me. I'm intrigued with how the film's story could be executed in today's technologically-advanced era.

I've never seen the original (and there's no access to Hulu video library from the UK) but I'm impressed that there are no reel bad Arabs in the latest version.

I, too, dug the original. Saw it on the big screen again a couple of years ago at an L.A. revival house.

Looks like Tony Scott & Co. changed the story quite a bit. Can't say I'm on the edge of my seat waiting.

But Travolta looks like he's rockin' and rollin' with it.

    Ho-hum.

Good cast but Tony Scott over-directs like crazy.

Has anyone else noticed for a few years now Denzel's movie wives have been about 20 years younger than him?

I love the Original film. I highly recommend it. This one seem like a high tech film with good mindless entertainment. I will check it out, when I feel like checking out for a couple hours.
