BOX OFFICE - Top 250 Of 2008

Box

From
Variety mag... the top 250 films of 2008 - by the numbers, specifically (North American grosses).

No big surprises.

Clearly, special effects, spectacle and Will Smith still rule at the box office!

Maybe Juno is somewhat of a surprise.

I actually had to look up Four Christmases.

Below are the top 20. I saw just 6 of the 20 - the first 4, #14 and #19. You?

1 The Dark Knight $530,936,438
2 Iron Man 318,313,199
3 Indiana Jones 317,023,851
4 Hancock 227,946,274

I've seen 14 of them. Very weird to have my favorite on the list also be number one. That doesn't happen much.

I was hoping "TDK" would unseat "Titanic" at the top of the "highest grossing films of all time" list. Close but, no cigar. Browsing over the list of blockbusters to be released this year, it looks like "Titanic" will stay on top.

I come in at a measley 2 movies on this list - and I didn't actually like either of them.

    Hooray for Hollywood!
