First 'Miracle at St. Anna' Poster Released

Well, here it is, hot off the presses, the first poster released for Spike Lee's next joint, Miracle at St. Anna, courtesy of the good folks over at Cinematical.com! And the timing couldn't be better, given all the recent media coverage of the war of words between Spike and Clint Eastwood.

It's not exactly what I expected to see actually, but I like it - deceptively simple with subtle visual cues, and I think quite effective. I'm sure there'll be others to follow - featuring the faces of the film's stars, notably, Derek Luke and Michael Ealy.

The film hits theatres on September 26th this year.

I just saw the poster today at the movie theater. Looks good. I know that I'm putting a lot of faith on the film but PLEASE I hope it's is good!

Can't wait for this one. I think Spike is getting his mojo back...He lost me for a while there. The New Orleans documentary was a positive turn, so I'm optimistic. AND there's nothing like a good feud with a powerhouse like Eastwood to drum up some publicity ;o)

    - I with you Sergio - I hope Spike delivers. However, I'm sure he realizes the weight of the responsibility he's carrying in telling this particular story, and won't disappoint.

    - Yup, Inside Man and When The Levees Broke, his last two theatricals were both solid turns for Spike. Before that, he did that horrible She Hate Me, which I think turned off many.
