these are funny. I want to do the black panther pic but I need a leather coat.
Now here's the question? Why do black women think this is funny? Maybe because seeing Perry (or any black man in drag) is symbolically castrating black men making them safe. What I know for sure is that this repulses me. I absolutely despise Tyler Perry and you couldn't pay me to see this.

well i do think men in drag is kinda funny. it's actually very silly how they look like the extreme of an overdone woman. madea reminds many of us of our grandmother's. his grandma wisdom is pretty on point most of the time. i agree a lot of the comedy is over the top. the force fed morals in his movies get on my nerves too. it does depict black women as being crazy when he dresses in drag and with him being one of the few images we get related to black film i can see your disgust.
Oh hell, Tambay... did you have to?
I don't care if Tyler Perry takes all the money he's making and cures cancer. I am sick of seeing his face.
And I'm not the hatin' kind.
Sergio - you'll have to ask black women why they think it's funny. But I don't know if their reasons are that complex. I don't have a problem with men who choose to dress in drag. What I don't care for is something I've said before - the reinforcement of the "Mammy" stereotype in Tyler Perry's Madea movies. It’s a trite and limiting depiction of the elderly black woman in America. But your hatred of Tyler Perry is well documented!
MLM - Maybe you can post something extensive on why you're humored by men like Tyler Perry in drag...
UBM - I'm like Fox News: I report, you decide.
I think we seem to be forgetting that he's an entertainer and is trying to sell his movie in any way he can. I can't knock him for that.
I'm a woman and I don't care for his movies. But I won't go so far to say that I hate him. I don't know him personally. To me he's just another Hollywood celebrity trying to push his product, even if it means making a fool out of himself.
Damn.
