Although Vogue is not the major arbiter of equality, but at least it is a step in the right direction. If you guys love women of color in fashion then you guys would love Bianca! I’m currently working with Toyota and I’m really hyped when it comes to spreading the word about the new interactive If Looks Could Kill webisodes. They follow an aspiring fashion assistant who is a prime example of a woman whos’ got it going on. I’m talking the dream job, man who’s got all the ladies drooling, and the spice to keep it all together. Think James Bond meets Sanaa Lathan in Something New.
You’ll have to see what I’m talking about. I can’t wait to read your thoughts on the first episode so we can chit-chat abut what’s really going on. Don’t be surprised when you find yourself being reeled in like bait. That will make two of us!
I hope I didn’t overstep my bounds by directly contacting you. After viewing your blog and seeing how hip to the game you are when it comes to what’s hot and current, I figured this would be something that would catch your interest.
Looking forward to the girl talk!
Best,
Gabrielle Thorn
Gabrielle.thorn@gmail.com
ILCK AmbassadorAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7186698165589554338.post-44395581286484628852008-06-29T14:44:00.000-04:002008-06-29T14:44:00.000-04:00Though Vogue isn't a regular read, I'll probably b...Though Vogue isn't a regular read, I'll probably buy a copy for posterity.

LOL! Loving IW's comment about the weave! I doubt there'll be many 'natural' heads in there, unless Alec Wek is in it - which she should be, as one of the more successful black models of her time, despite her not quite adhereing to a white standard of chocolate covered beauty.

What's the betting there'll be at least one tiger/leopard skin pic...? Probably the only one with a 'nappy' headed negress in it!

:0The Wendilicious Wonderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06380114669771631713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7186698165589554338.post-48348266432096775452008-06-27T01:21:00.000-04:002008-06-27T01:21:00.000-04:00They do all look the same to me. How ironic. In any event, this will bring some much needed VISUAL attention to the issue.

I love the second pic. LOL.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
