However, his disappearance makes me realise that Latinos have it far worse than African Americans when it comes to movies and mainstream cultural enertainment. I'm guessing that if "Raising Victor Vargas" had been about a bunch of white kids, Raising Tommy Smith, perhaps (or, hey, about "Kids"!?), then he may have been given a few million to make a few more movies, espcially given the accolades "Raising" received.<BR/><BR/>Alas... Mayhaps he'll be called upon to direct the first of Mr Junot Diaz's writings that gets adapted for the screen...
